Pure aromatherapy oil should not directly contact the skin, it must be diluted with massage base oil or bath oil before use.
Store in a cool and ventilated place: Essential oils may deteriorate when exposed to high temperature, humidity and ultraviolet light. They should be placed in a closed space, preferably at 25 degrees Celsius, and must not be placed in a refrigerator.
Store in dark glass bottles: essential oils should be stored in dark glass bottles, which can reduce 90% of ultraviolet rays, and should not be placed in plastic bottles or ironware to avoid chemical reactions and deterioration.
Close the bottle cap tightly: After each use, the bottle cap should be tightly closed to avoid the essential oil from contacting the air to accelerate oxidation and volatilization.
Do not use directly: the concentration of essential oils is very high, unless under the guidance of a special person, apply pure essential oils directly to the body, which may cause excessive dosage or excessive skin irritation.
Deployed dosage: The dosage used should not exceed 3-5%. In general, 10ml of essential oil can drip out for about 200d, so the concentration of 5% is about 10d. If you want to prepare base oil, adding less than 10 drops of essential oil to 10ml of base oil is a safe dose. If you like to prepare by yourself, please note that no more than 3 essential oils can be used at a time, and the use of compound oils is safer than single oils.
Allergy test: Since everyone’s skin is different, please do a skin sensitivity test before using essential oils, and it is recommended to dilute them. The test method is to dip cotton with essential oil and apply it on the fragile skin of the human body, such as behind the ears, elbows or the inside of the arm. After 30 minutes, if there is no redness or other irritation, you can use it with confidence.
Avoid eating by mistake: inedible, store with care, do not let children eat by mistake.
Avoid photosensitivity: Some essential oils (especially citrus essential oils) will have photosensitivity reactions with sunlight (ultraviolet rays), so you should not accept the sun within a few hours after using it on the face to avoid skin darkening. Such as: bergamot, lemon, etc.
Overheated storage: Aromatherapy is a flammable material, keep away from heat or flame.
Do not use essential oils on sensitive areas: All aromatherapy essential oils, even if diluted, should not touch sensitive areas such as eyes, ears, genitals, and mucous membranes. If aromatherapy essential oil accidentally splashes into the eyes, it must be rinsed with plenty of water immediately and seek medical treatment.
